Monthly Feature Challenge: BUTTERFLIES

It's no secret: butterflies are one of my favorite things around! They're just sooo lovely, even with all those legs and terrifying tongues. The symmetry of a butterfly has always spoken to my heart and frustrated me to no end when it's come to crafting. Making things identical, AGGH, nature! I've taken to filling my room with them anyhow, stitched, photo'd, a few actual dead ones because antiques, fairy dolls, jewelry... you get the idea. I even have master plans to create butterfly wings for my mini dresses and an extensive project with Mattsma to do a butterfly-patterned bead dress too. Basically, you could say, me and butterflies have a thing together...

All this inspiration has to go somewhere, I say! So I put it to you this month, take this gorgeous insects and bring your artistry out to the open. It's even the correct month for butterflies to be flying outside so don't be afraid to get out there with your camera and snap a few shots of those gorgeous bugs.

The group butterflys-forever is a good group to garner your piece even more attention!
