Here's what I've been working on in front of the TV.
We've been watching Mad Men - no spoilers! - and I'm really enjoying it. Many of the hours put into this piece were done to that theme song, it's so good!
Overall, this was a relaxing piece to do. The stitching was pretty straight forward: lots of regular X's, lots of partials. I spent a long, long while on the first section with the cardinal before I ever moved the hoop. It never became stressful but all the same I was quite happy to put the final stitches in and call it done.
I removed some stitches and added others. What I found most irritating is that all the red threads were marked with red symbols, which you would think is logical, but in the end made it really difficult to see if a symbol was for regular red or light red. I added size 15 glass seed beads for their eyes since birds do have beady little eyes.
