I'm very proud of this one. :) Christmas present for my friend Hilliary who moved this past summer.

Based off the large daffodil pattern in the book "My Beaded Garden", this starflower happened when the instructions for the daffodil confused me.

For you beaders out there, give me some pointers! The book told me to make a 10 stack row (using the brick stitch) and then to make an 8 stack row. How do you keep it centered without doing 9 stacks, though? I got confused and used 9 instead of 8 like the book said, and ended up with the starflower.

This pretty mistake is 3 1/2 inches from petal tip to petal tip (it curves upward) and is fastened with thick wire to a standard 3 inch hairclip. I left it a little loose so the star can be spun around (to make the top tip face the other way) so it can be worn on both side of the head.

Uses purple seed beads, black nylon thread, silver wire, and blue glitter. Oh, and there's a blue button in the center to make it look more like a flower and less like an awkwardly-colored star. :)
