Description

:pumpkin: This is my entry to the Trick or Treat Artisan Craft Contest!! :eager: maytel.deviantart.com/journal/…

:evillaugh: My miniature witch themed dress is really enjoying all those miniature skulls at her feet! :evillaugh:

 It's all done!! It didn't take me nearly as long as I expected it would, which is a really good thing considering how much homework I have to do! The dress took me half an hour less than expected, the custom hat pattern didn't take nearly as long as custom patterns have taken me in the past, the bucket was a really quick project, and the wand happened on a whim!

I'd like to highlight the middle-most-right image, that's my signature tag hiding on the inside of the skirt!! :D This tag shows that the dress is authentic and really shouldn't be removed! It reads "Make it Pink" and is laser-printed on special colored metal that'll never rust.

There's a lot of repeat description below because this is my contest entry, most of this can be found on the individual deviations. I'll make another bold note when the new information appears!
>snip< The contest is over and the information on the dress and hat can be found on their individual deviations.
That does it for the repeat info! Lots there... kind of a ton of information...

The Trick-or-Treat Bucket is originally a Japanese pattern that I found translated through a Russian website. Since it was in Russian that didn't really help matters... I can't read either language. In short I have no idea where the original pattern comes from. It was really simple to do and originally called for crystal bicones but since those cost me $0.05 each for the decent quality ones I didn't want to invest all that money into the bucket. Instead I used my very-recently-purchased luster silver-lined orange seed beads with some black to fill in the face. It was done with yellow Japanese One G nylon using the RAW technique. It won't be getting it's own submission since there's really not much more to show. There's a blue bead inside of it to hold the shape, you can pretend it's gathered candy. :P

The wand was an idea given to me by my friend Krystal! She posted it on a facebook comment and I knew it would be the perfect finishing touch to the witch dress! It's a really simple design but it is my own, using a simple headpin to hold the bead in place and some cut-up chain for the sparkly dangly bits. The bead glows under a black light which is why I've included that blue image on the end! It's one of the new TOHO reflective beads that just came out this year, most only have two "views" (normal light and direct light) but a few of them actually glow under the black light, making for an awesome third view surprise!
