Miniature 3D Heels (Shoe Soles)

These shoes were created on, firstly, the shoe models that came with the original Ballerina dress kit:

I tried and tried and trriiiiiieeeed to find a source to buy them from, I didn't even care if it was Japanese, I would've bought them through Themiddleofnowhere^TM if it would've got me a supply. But there were just none to be found. Anywhere. At least not within my access. So... I had to make my own. More importantly, I had to make them smaller than Barbie because Barbie is (theoretically) 1:6 scale and my bead dresses are 1:12 scale. And even if I had MAGICALLY found a supplier for the Barbie sized one, I would've still needed a solution for the tinier shoes... so...

I tried wax. I tried acrylic nail junk. I tried regular cut plastic, I tried carving wood. Eventually I settled on chopping metal to bits and then bending and forming it with my bare hands (and some really sharp tools). The result led to a custom boot pattern:

But ultimately, creating the shoes was painful. My hands are just not trained for difficult work like that, they're trained for intricate delicate things. So I started crying for help and generally freaking out. THEN THE MIGHTY tZ2 came to the rescue with his 3D modeling and printing skills! He modeled the shoe soles, and after a few attempts he even had the holes at the correct size for my needle to slide through without screeching on my part. MAGICAL, PEOPLE.

Size 11 glass seed beads for the larger shoe: plain white and metallic pink. Size 15 glass seed beads for the smaller: silver-lined permanent opal mint and iris metallic carnival gold. White Japanese One G nylon. 3D Printed plastic soles.
