MinMinBeads: Paris - Bead Dress

The first different part of this for me was that Clara included a strange microfilament clear fishing-thread-esque thread to use for this. I'd never worked with it before, so it's probably just my inexperience, but woah! That stuff really holds its shape, haha. Not the easiest to work with but the result is really nice: a puffy skirt that doesn't collapse on itself and no thread can be seen between stitches. I think I still prefer my One G, but it was good for the experience!

My mistake on this was that I misread the pattern and put the silver polka dots halfway up the skirt instead of right before the hem. I didn't wanna go back and redo it, so they just live there now! I ran out of pink beads for the very last three rows and Clara sent me a whole bunch more - probably enough to make another dress! - which was super nice of her. I was just going to end the dress a little shorter and think nothing of it, but she really pulled through!

The last thing to do was add those super awesome roses and the Eiffel Tower charm. There's actually some more crystals that go along with it but I'm going to save them for another project! I also have one more rose leftover. My hoarding tendencies get in the way with this sort of thing... I have such a limited stash of it that I'll avoiding using them forever probably, just cause they're so pretty on their own.

It's all done in Right Angle Weave technique with that filament stuff. Size 11 glass seed beads in soft pink and clear silver-lined. One butterfly crystal and five crystal bicones, all AB pink. There's also four 3mm silver beads on the back, don't know if they're metal or hard plastic. Three hard-plastic roses and one probably-metal Eiffel Tower charm.

She's beaded directly onto her dress form and cannot be removed without scissors and doom. Not going to be selling anything made from this pattern I think, but it was super fun to get a kit from Clara.
